Analysis: Jacksonville pays $4.07 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Jacksonville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 80.3 percent of the $1,290,901 the Jacksonville Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.07 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Jacksonville contributed $1,036,499 to the fund, which saw a $56,325 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $254,402, or 19.7 percent, in 2016.
