Analysis: Macomb pays $3.13 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Macomb Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 75.8 percent of the $670,247 the Macomb Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.13 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Macomb contributed $507,833 to the fund, which saw a $29,322 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $161,818, or 24.1 percent, in 2016. Another $596 came from other unspecified sources.
