City of Jacksonville Historic Preservation Commission met April 16.
Here is the minutes as provided by the commission:
Attendees: Bill Scott, Lauretta Scheller, Steve Hochstadt, Cindy Boehlke
Meeting called to consider COA for roof replacement on McClelland Dining Hall on
MacMurray campus. Current roof is slate and replacement fake slate is a composite
material in three colors, replicating the color of the existing slate. In addition to the
new roof, copper gutters, flashing, and a rubber roof for the flat roof on the east side
are also requested. After discussion of the cost of slate to replace, we approved the
COA for Mac to begin work until we can meet as a quorum.
Additional COA for 1220 W. College for a partial privacy fence for the homeowner from
the neighboring apartment house. COA approved pending quorum vote.
Our next meeting will be our scheduled monthly meeting on May 7.
