WAVERLY COMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT 6: 2018 Final Exams

Sklbrd

Waverly Community Unit School District 6 issued the following announcement on May 14.

Parents and students,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for a wonderful year. The

schedule of tests is listed below. We will still have a 2:00 p.m. dismissal on May 25th

only. May 24th will be a regular scheduled day. On May 23rd, the teachers will use

this day as a “review or study” day. Seniors will take their exams on May 21st and

May 22nd. All students will be required to stay the ENTIRE day. No students will be

allowed to leave early from school. Students need to take any perishable items out

of their lockers, so they are not left over the summer break. Students may clean out

their lockers before or after school only. If there are any questions, feel free to call

me at the school at 217-435-2211.

Students always need to be reminded how much emphasis is placed on these exams.

The exams that are given at the high school are worth 1/5 or 20% of the student’s

grade. Students need to always start preparing for the final in advance to give

themselves every opportunity to be successful. If students have questions, they

need to ask their teachers for assistance. Again, I wish everyone a relaxing summer

break and look forward to seeing the students when they return in August.
