Report: Pleasant Hill spent $10,229 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Pleasant Hill Community Unit School District 3 is up 5 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Pike County school district spent $9,714 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,229 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 310 to 304.

Pleasant Hill's spending in 2016-17 was 21 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
