Report: Triopia spent $9,383 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Triopia Community Unit School District 27 is down 6 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Morgan County school district spent $9,976 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,383 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 385 to 357.

Triopia's spending in 2016-17 was 28 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
