Report: La Harpe spent $12,567 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at La Harpe Community School District 347 is up 3 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Hancock County school district spent $12,166 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,567 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 228 to 208.

La Harpe's spending in 2016-17 was 3 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
