Report: Dallas spent $11,524 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Dallas Elementary School District 327 is up 15 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Hancock County school district spent $9,993 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,524 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 202 to 182.

Dallas's spending in 2016-17 was 11 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
