Report: Greenfield spent $10,182 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Greenfield Community Unit School District 10 is up 6 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Greene County school district spent $9,638 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,182 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 463 to 461.

Greenfield's spending in 2016-17 was 22 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
