Western Illinois Museum issued the following announcement on May 15.
Let’s face it, not many people like meetings. While study and meetings are important, our recent planning process showed us that “doing” was an equally important tool. Trying an idea out, building something, and getting a response from our visitors can be a very effective method of creating a new initiative.

This is where you come in! There is such a variety of things to do at the museum; here are a few things that we need help with.
- Painting Our Front Porch
- Transcribing WWI letters
- Sorting and identifying items in our collection: tools, medical equipment, coins, and 2-dimensional graphic work
- Sorting scrap wood, half cans of paint, and non-artifact “stuff”
