McDonough County Road and Bridge Committee met May 3.

The McDonough County Road and Bridge Committee held their monthly meeting on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, 3rd Floor, Law Library. Committee members present included Chairman Clarke Kelso, Dave Cortelyou, Rod McGrew, Mike Cox, Trevor Toland, Dick Marcott, Marcia Twaddle, and Earl Sims.
Other persons present included: Engineer Rick Walker, Dave Cadwalader, Patrick Stout, Scott Hance, County Chairman Scott Schwerer, and County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes.
Chairman Clarke Kelso called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Review & Approve April 5, 2018 Minutes
Member Twaddle moved with a second by Member Marcott to approve the April 5, 2018 minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Project Update
County Engineer Rick Walker gave the report.
Cardinal Point Wind Turbine Update
County Engineer Rick Walker had a meeting with them last week, another meeting will be held on May 14th.
Approve Resolution for Mound Township Awarding of Materials on Local Bridge Section 10-12125-00-BR -$94,304.00
Member Toland moved with a second by Member McGrew to approve the Resolution for Mound Township Awarding of Materials on Local Bridge Section 10-12125-00-BR - $94,304.00. Motion carried on a voice note.
Approve Resolution for Emmet Township County Aid Project #1846-37
Member Cox moved with a second by Member Sims to approve the Resolution for Emmet Township Aid Project #1846-37 (TR Route 240) - $6,500.00. Motion carried on a voice note.

Approve Intergovernmental Agreement for Seal Coating North Townships
Member McGrew moved with a second by Member Toland to approve the Intergovernmental Agreement for Seal Coating North Townships. Motion carried on a voice note.

Member Sims moved with a second by Member Twaddle to approve the Intergovernmental Agreement for Seal Coating South Townships. Motion carried on a voice note.
March Work Report
Dave Cadwalader reviewed the April work report.
Claims Review and Approval
Member McGrew moved with a second by Member Cortelyou to approve the claims as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Other Business
County Chairman Schwerer said that the Hancock County Board is interested in a Mutual Aid Agreement in case of a disaster. Engineer Walker will get more information on this and will report on it at next month’s meeting.
County Engineer Rick Walker is looking into the flooding in Adair, there may be grant money available to help. He would like to consider doing a Hydraulic survey which would cost around $10,000.00, more information will be obtained on this. Walker will be reaching out to WIRC to see about grants.
