Passavant Hospital issued the following announcement on June 15.
Passavant Area Hospital’s Employee of the Month is Jamie Davis, a housekeeper in the Environmental Services department. She has been a Passavant employee 2 years.
A grateful co-worker nominated Jamie for the honor: “Jamie went above and beyond on a recent busy night in the Emergency Department. We had so many patients we had them in beds in the halls. Not only was Jamie cleaning and making beds, but she was helping move empty beds in the halls. She was even helping take patients to the front for pickup when she wasn’t busy with other tasks. Jamie is extraordinary. She is kind, courteous and always has a smile. She is a valuable employee. She is a leader and her co-workers look to her for guidance and support.”
In her role as a housekeeper, Jamie is responsible for cleaning the Emergency Department and serving as a team leader. She also assists with cleaning other hospital areas and the building off the Passavant campus.
Jamie resides in Jacksonville.
The Employee of the Month at Passavant receives eight hours off with pay, an Employee of the Month plaque, an Employee of the Month pin, a close parking space for one month in the physician’s parking garage and a decorated cake.
