Rushville FD responds to 12 fires in 2017

Rushville Fire Department responded to 13 calls in 2017 - 48 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Rushville included 12 fires - six structure fires, three vehicle fires and three other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $137,000 in fire loss - or about $11,417 per fire.
