Jacksonville Public Library Board of Trustees met June 5.
Here is the minutes provided by the Board:
Present: President Mary Fergurson, Craig Albers, Forrest Keaton, Kevin Eckhoff, Ted Roth, Katie Weeks, Adult Services Librarian Hillary Peppers, Library Director Chris Ashmore and special guest Sarah Keister Armstrong. Absent were Robert Underbrink, Elizabeth Kennedy and Noel Beard.
The meeting was called to order at 4:30 PM. Ashmore introduced library consultant Sarah Keister Armstrong. Ms. Keister Armstrong explained to the board what services she could provide the Jacksonville Public Library should they decide to use her as a consultant in a long-range planning process. Depending on the extent of her services, prices ranged from $2,000 up to $10,000. Several questions were posed to Keister Armstrong that she answered to the board’s satisfaction.
Further discussion will take place at the June library board meeting with a decision made on whether to employ (and to what extent) the services of Keister Armstrong as a consultant for a long-range planning process.
