PASSAVANT HOSPITAL: Routt Catholic Crochet Club Donates Blankets

Davidadamkesswikimedia

Passavant Hospital issued the following announcement on Aug. 17.

Simon Parlier, BSN, RNC-OB, IBCLC, Passavant Family Maternity Suites nurse manager, accepts blanket donations from Routt Catholic High School seniors Vivian Peters and Harrison Chumley, members of the school’s Crochet Club.

The blankets will be distributed to newborns in Family Maternity Suites.

The blankets were made by the Club during the past school year.

The students receive one hour of community service for each blanket made.

In addition to the blankets, the students created hats, mittens, purses and shawls to donate to those less fortunate.

The Crochet Club was directed by the students’ faculty advisors, Tracy Ptacek and Cleta TerHark.
