McDonough District Hospital issued the following announcement on Aug. 20.
The McDonough District Hospital Board of Directors’ search committee tasked to hire the permanent President/CEO announced on Monday (Aug. 20) it will temporarily suspend the hiring process.
Current interim President/CEO Brian E. Dietz, FACHE, joined the organization in late June and will continue to serve in his current capacity. The national search firm B.E. Smith will also continue to work with MDH to hire the President/CEO.
Board Chairman Dr. Rick Iverson expressed that Dietz’s vast experience and executive leadership in healthcare will benefit MDH during this extended interim role and continue to move the organization forward.
“Our interim CEO Brian Dietz has over 38 years of experience in nine different states, in multiple size communities and hospitals in health care administration. Health care delivery has had an exponential increase in complexity in just the last few years,” said Iverson. “For that reason we have asked Mr. Dietz to do a thorough evaluation of our organization. We have asked for his observations and recommendations. It is felt that this will give a head start for our eventual CEO so we can continue our excellent track record of providing quality care to the citizens of McDonough County and the surrounding area.”
