City of Mt. Sterling issued the following announcement on Sept. 24.
The Mt. Sterling City Clerk’s office has alderman candidate petitions available for pick up. There are three alderman seats to be filled at the Consolidated Election to be held April 2, 2019. Those alderman whose terms are up are as follows, Mick Myers in Ward 1, Allen Schenk in Ward 2 and Lauren Jennings in Ward 3.
Candidate packets may be picked up at city hall Mon through Fri between the hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The filing period for candidates is December 10 through December 17, 2018.
