McDonough District Hospital issued the following announcement on Oct. 22.
Macomb High School volleyball team presented a $1,177 donation for Linda’s Fund at McDonough District Hospital.
The team raised money at its annual Pink Night game, held October 9, at Washington Street Gym in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Linda's Fund was created in October 2008 in memory of Linda (Ren) Bainter, who passed away in April 1996 at the age of 57 after a second battle with breast cancer. Funds raised provide financial support to breast cancer patients who are using the services of MDH.
