CITY OF JACKSONVILLE: Adopt A Senior Pet

Dogadopt

City of Jacksonville issued the following announcement on Nov. 20.

In observance of Adopt a Senior Pet Month (November), Animal Care and Protective Services (ACPS) is placing the spotlight on animals like Sir Patrick, a 10-year-old mixed-breed pooch that would love to spend his golden years in a home.

Since he arrived at the City’s animal shelter in June, this laid-back canine has been patiently waiting for his forever family. Due to the support of Friends of Jacksonville Animals, Sir Patrick has been treated for heartworm disease and is ready for adoption.

To make adopting easier, ACPS is offering discount rates for adult dogs and cats ($20, includes city license) through November.
