City of Jacksonville issued the following announcement on Dec. 5.
With increased rain activity in recent days, the City of Jacksonville is encouraging citizens to be mindful of mosquito-borne diseases.
To prevent and reduce risks, please exercise the following tips:
DRAIN standing water to stop mosquitoes from multiplying.
COVER skin with clothing or repellent.
COVER doors and windows with screens to keep mosquitoes out of your house.
