McDonough District Hospital issued the following announcement on Dec. 14.
Macomb Firefighters Local 3053 presented a $500 donation for Linda’s Fund at McDonough District Hospital (MDH).
The union raised money through pink t-shirt sales during October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. T-shirt sales raised $250 and then firefighters matched the donation to reach $500.
Linda’s Fund provides financial support to breast cancer patients who are using the services at MDH. Area schools, community groups and individuals have helped support the fundraising effort.
