City of Macomb issued the following announcement on Jan. 11.
With the anticipated winter weather forecast of three (3) to six (6) inches of snow, the City of Macomb is declaring a Snow Emergency starting at 6:00 p.m. this evening (Friday, January 11) until Sunday (January 13) evening at 6:00 p.m. A snowfall of three (3) inches shall automatically constitute a snow emergency. It shall be unlawful for any person to park or allow a motor vehicle to remain parked on a street that has been designated as a snow route in the city. Snow routes are listed below.
As a reminder those citizens within the city that are located in the designated sidewalk abatement zones, should be prepared for a sidewalk enforcement declaration by the Public Works Director that will result in the need to clear their sidewalks within 24 hours of the public announcement. The City would kindly ask that citizens consider having the sidewalks cleared before Monday, January 14 start of school.
