Report: Pikeland spent $9,768 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Pikeland Community Unit School District 10 is up 8.5 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Pike County school district spent $9,001 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,768 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1287 to 1265.

Pikeland's spending in 2017-18 was 26.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
