Report: Bushnell Prairie City spent $8,825 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Bushnell Prairie City Community Unit School District 170 is down 5.1 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Mcdonough County school district spent $9,304 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,825 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 784 to 696.

Bushnell Prairie City's spending in 2017-18 was 33.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
