Report: North Greene spent $9,421 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at North Greene Community Unit School District 3 is down 9.2 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Greene County school district spent $10,372 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,421 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 968 to 861.

North Greene's spending in 2017-18 was 29.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
