City of Barry issued the following announcement on Jan. 30.
The YMCA of West Central Illinois will be open to the public as warming centers this week. Branches offering warming centers will be Quincy, Mt. Sterling and Barry, Illinois. The Y offers warming centers as a part of our commitment to social responsibility and helping neighbors in a time of need. Guests should check in at the Welcome Desk when they arrive. The YMCA warming centers will provide warm beverages and a place to escape the cold.
