Administrators in Jacksonville School District 117 earn an average of $88,655 per year, ranking 636th out of 864 districts in the state, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 2.1% lower than in 2014 and 0.4% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 17.4% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Morgan County school district enrolled 3372 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 141 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
