The price of local government in 2016: Village of Ashland

The Village of Ashland budget was $2.20 million for its 2016 fiscal year, or $4,303 per household.

That's an increase of 15.4 percent from 2015, when the village spent $1.91 million, or $3,729 per household.

Ashland has 512 households and a population of 1,692.

Since 2001, the Village of Ashland budget has fallen by 2.7 percent, from $2.26 million. The village population has grown 24.3 percent over the same period, from 1,361.
