Carthage Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on April 8.
Honor and Remember, an organization dedicated to keeping alive the memory of our fallen military personnel and civilian first responders, will be conducting a tribute run on Saturday, April 13, 2019 The event, organized by local Gold Star families and supporters, will begin at 7:00 AM at Western Illinois University in Macomb and will run a 50-mile route to Warsaw arriving at approximately 5:00 PM at the Bott Center. The route will take runners down Main Street in Carthage with a brief stop at The Wood Inn to hear honored names called out. This will happen at approximately 12:00 noon.
