The price of local government in 2017: McDonough County

The McDonough County budget was $19.77 million for its 2017 fiscal year.

That's a decrease of two percent from 2016, when the county spent $20.18 million.

McDonough County has a population of 30,823.

Since 2001, the McDonough County budget has grown by 29.8 percent, from $15.24 million. The county population has fallen 6.4 percent over the same period, from 32,913.
