The Beardstown Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Evergreen Place and Heritage Health are Co- Businesses of the Month for April 2019.
The account below explains perfectly why the Chamber chose to bestow this honor on these two separate businesses owned by the same corporation and operating in accord! The mother of the person who nominated them resided first at Evergreen Place and now at Heritage Health.
She states that, “The directors and employees all truly care about the patients. They made Mom’s transition from Evergreen Place (assisted living) to Heritage Health (skilled nursing) seamless and easy. We are delighted with the care Mom receives from everyone! The maintenance staff is friendly and takes great care to get to issues quickly. The CNA's and Nursing staff all are upbeat and friendly from the time you enter the door. They are willing to help in any way.” Family members have been, “quite impressed with the staff and the general atmosphere. The meals are served in a friendly manner. The Christmas program showed how well the staff works together, as everyone from maintenance to the activity to director to the nursing staff worked together to serve the patients and their families. In earlier days when mom was mom, she never wanted to be in a nursing home. But for her safety, we had no choice. We are thankful that she is happy, content, cared for and loved at Heritage Health, and before that at Evergreen Place. We have never regretted having her there. Melissa Burke at Evergreen Place and Courtney Sweatman at Heritage Health are both doing a fabulous job making this place the best that it can be.”
