Q1 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Pike County?

There were seven offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Pike County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Central Reporter.

The data shows that five men and two women were released in Pike County. The median age of the parolees was 30. The youngest parolee was a 26-year-old woman sentenced for a crime against justice in 2017, and the oldest was a 35-year-old man sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Austin W. Mooney. He was convicted of a financial crime or fraud in 2016 when he was 32 years old. He is now 35.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
