Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Morgan County?

There were nine offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Morgan County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Central Reporter.

The data shows that seven men and two women were released in Morgan County. The median age of the parolees was 41. The youngest parolee was a 27-year-old woman sentenced for a crime against a person in 2018, and the oldest was a 66-year-old woman sentenced for a property crime in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Charles Miller. He was convicted of homicide in 1980 when he was 24 years old. He is now 63.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each Morgan County municipality.
