CITY OF GREENVILLE: Idot Update On I-70 Ramp Closures

Roadsignclosed

City of Greenville issued the following announcement on July 21.

The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced that the anticipated closure of the I-70 eastbound entrance and exit ramps at IL 127 has been rescheduled. The I-70 at IL 127 eastbound entrance ramp will now be closed for five days beginning at 12:01 AM on Monday, July 22, 2019, and the I-70 eastbound exit ramp will be closed for five days beginning at 12:01 AM on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, weather permitting. Traffic will be maintained utilizing a posted detour via I-70 and US 40. This work is necessary to partially reconstruct the ramps at their intersections with IL 127.

The Department advises the travelling public to follow all construction signs and drive with caution through the work zones. Delays should be expected and the use of alternate routes may be beneficial.

The Contractor on this project is The Kilian Corporation of Mascoutah, Illinois.
