Macomb Community Unit School District 185 Board of Education met June 17.

Board Vice President Scott Torrance called the hearing to order in the C.T. Vivian Library at Macomb Jr./Sr. High School. Following the Pledge of Allegiance, roll was taken with the following members present: Sutton, Gray, Adams, Torrance, and La Prad (telephonically). Members Myers and Thompson were absent.
Dr. Twomey presented the final amended 2018-2019 budget. He explained the need for an amended budget due to a 10% change in revenues and expenditures. The adjustments to revenues and expenditures were a result of increases in interest and local revenues, and changes in amounts received from Title and rural grants. The transfer of funds into capital projects and higher than expected tort expenditures also contributed to the need for an amended budget. All funds reflected some change in revenues and/or expenditures.
Dr. Twomey asked for questions or comments from those in attendance. Hearing none, member Gray moved, and member Sutton seconded, to adjourn the hearing at 7:14 p.m. Members voting “yes”: Sutton, Gray, Adams, Torrance, and La Prad. Members voting “no”: none. Motion carried.
