Jacksonville home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Jacksonville rose by $8,100 while total sales decreased by 23.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 79 homes sold, with a median sale price of $83,000 - a 10.8% increase over the $74,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 103 homes sold in Jacksonville in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Jacksonville for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $1,809, approximately 2.2% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2017.
