Jacksonville home prices fall in the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Jacksonville fell by $3,500 while total sales decreased by 2.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were 147 homes sold, with a median sale price of $82,400 - a 4.1% decrease over the $85,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 151 homes sold in Jacksonville in the second half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Jacksonville for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $1,809, approximately 2.2% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2018.
