Beardstown Chamber Of Commerce issued the following announcement on Sept. 18.
The Beardstown Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Riverport Restaurant & Lounge has been chosen September 2019 Business of the Month! Riverport was nominated by one individual who emphatically stated that, “They have the best food, best atmosphere, best view, and the place is very, very clean. Curtis and Tammy have done a great job!” He also said that their staff is very friendly. Another individual nominated Riverport because they are a member of the Exchange Club and the local club meets in their event room. This person is pleased with the “enormous buffet, private meeting/dining room, and gracious owners who truly serve us well.” Yet a third customer sent a nomination stating that the delicious food is homemade and the prices are very affordable. Riverport is located at 218 West Main Street in one of Beardstown’s extraordinary buildings, the Old Bowling Alley. When asked about future plans for the building, Tammy and Curtis Large say that they are really excited about the many possibilities that the building has, but are focusing on the restaurant for now.
Their hours are Tuesday through Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Their phone number is 323-9770.
