City of Greenville issued the following announcement on Oct. 17.
Greenville Police Officer Caleb Walton and Bond County Deputy Cody Donaldson were recognized Monday, October 14, for life-saving actions while a female was in distress last month at a home in Greenville.
Greenville Chief of Police Scott Workman told the story at the ceremony. He said the officers responded to an ambulance call of a non-responsive female. The officers assessed the situation and began CPR, which they continued until the ambulance arrived on-scene. The officers rode the ambulance and continued CPR until they arrived at the hospital.
Sheriff Jim Leitschuh presented a lifesaving pin and certificate to Donaldson and Chief Workman did the same to Walton.
