City of Macomb issued the following announcement on Dec. 7.
Community members are encouraged to attend an open, informal Meet and Mingle with members of the Macomb City Council, Mayor Mike Inman and City Administrative Staff. The open house style event will be held on Monday, December 9, commencing at approximately 6:00 p.m., immediately following the 5:15 p.m. City Council Committee of the Whole meeting. The gathering will be held in the Community Room, on the ground floor of Macomb City Hall, 232 East Jackson Street.
“We believe this will give members of the community an opportunity to meet with the Council, Mayor and City Staff in a very informal manner to encourage citizen input, feedback and a chance to discuss issues citizens may have”, said Mayor Mike Inman. “The Council members and I both think this is a chance for folks to feel more at ease and give them direct access to have concerns and issues heard, without the formality of a council meeting setting”, Inman added.
Refreshments will be available, with the event scheduled to conclude at 7p.m.
