Chapin home prices fall in the second half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2019 in Chapin fell by $47,500 while total sales decreased by 44.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2019, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $40,000 - a 54.3% decrease over the $87,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were nine homes sold in Chapin in the second half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Chapin for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $1,138, approximately 2.8% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2019.
