Beardstown Chamber Of Commerce issued the following announcement on March 28.
Sarah D. Culbertson Memorial Hospital, Rushville Family Practice and Elmer Hugh Taylor Clinic will now be handling all of our previously announced health screenings inside of tents which are located outside directly next to each entrance.
By performing these screenings outside, it will help us to make sure anyone that is having cold like symptoms or is immuno-compromised has a mask on prior to entering the hospital or clinics. This step is an extra safety measure for the health of our patients and staff.
Please understand that IF you have cold like symptoms or other respiratory issues you will still be seen at the hospital or the clinics. The screening process will just allow us to know ahead of time if you need a mask and to make sure our staff is aware that they need to wear protective equipment before seeing you.
We understand that this may cause some apprehension, but please know we are making these procedural changes out of an abundance of caution for you, our patients. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
