Illini West High School District #307 Board of Education met Feb. 26.
Here is the minutes provided by the board:
1) The Special Meeting of the Illini West High School District 307 of Hancock County, IL was called to order at 7:00 PM.
2) Roll Call:
1. Tracey Anders 6. John Huston
2. Beth Pence - Absent 7. Wilde-Tillman - Absent
3. Betsy Wujek
4. Shannon Pence
5. Darrell Sutton
3) Recognition of Visitors - Drew Dickerson, Joel Neally and Cindy Logan
4) Public Comment –
Drew Dickerson – What are the parameters that we are asking for the state? IW board would take into consideration how much the state gives us. Committed to not charging more than what we need.
Joel Neally – Misleading because Mrs. Schilson states that we would only issue the bonds if we get matching funds. There is information out there, just wants us to clarify or be more transparent. Would the board be open to reviewing the Russell report and clarify that there is information in the report that is inaccurate? Looking for clarification.
Cindy Logan – Reported on committee. There were about 40 people present for the last steering committee meeting in Dallas City this week. They showed the video of the tour and are working on scheduling another in person tour.
5) Motion by Anders, seconded by Sutton to approve the resolution as written. Roll Call: B Pence/absent; S Pence/yes; Huston/yes; Anders/yes; Wilde-Tillman/absent; Sutton/yes; Wujek/yes. Motion carried.
6) Motion by Anders, seconded by Sutton to adjourn at 7:15 p.m. Roll Call: Wujek/yes; Wilde- Tillman/absent; B Pence/absent; Huston/yes; S Pence/yes; Sutton/yes; Anders/yes. Motion carried.
