Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 62650?

There were 13 offenders released on parole during the second quarter that live near Illinois zip code 62650, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Central Reporter.

The data shows that 11 men and two women were released in Jacksonville zip code. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age was 36. The youngest parolee was a 19-year-old man convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2018, and the oldest was a 52-year-old man convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Leonard Peoples. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2008, when he was 20 years old. He is now 32.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
