Beardstown Chamber OF Commerce issued the following announcement on June 26.
Weight and Cardio Room
Unfortunately the Park District weight room will not be able to open with the beginning of Phase 4, tomorrow June 26. Due to supply side problems the ceiling repair work on the Park District side of the Armory building was unable to be finished while we have been shut down due to the corona virus. The work should be done (cross your fingers) next week, so as of now we are planning on July 6 as the reopening date of our weight and cardio rooms. The basketball gym may still be under construction and not usable for a longer period of time. We know everyone is anxious to get working out again and we are anxious to have you so we sincerely apologize for the delay in opening. Keep an eye out next week for our Phase 4 guidelines, as we are still somewhat limited in what is allowed.
Recreation Programs
A final decision and announcement regarding youth and adult recreation will be coming soon.
Subbrink Waterpark
As of this moment we are still waiting for the final guidelines regarding pools from the Illinois Department of Public Health. When they are released, we will review them and make a decision regarding the opening of the waterpark.
As always, the safety and health of our staff and patrons and all the residents of our Park District community is our top priority and all decisions will be made with this as our foremost thought. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
