Q4 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Morgan County?

There were eight offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2019 that live in Morgan County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Central Reporter.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Morgan County were men. The median age of the parolees was 35. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2019, and the oldest was a 49-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Obia Y. Brengettsy. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2016 when he was 37 years old. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter of 2019 in each Morgan County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
