Chapin home prices rise in the second quarter of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2020 in Chapin rose by $22,500 while total sales remained unchanged with three homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2020, there were three homes sold, with a median sale price of $72,500 - a 45% increase over the $50,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were three homes sold in Chapin in the second quarter of 2019, as well.

The median sales tax in Chapin for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $1,138, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2020.
