17 Cass County residents in their fifties test positive for COVID-19

As of July 25, there have been 17 Cass County residents in their fifties who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

There have been 368 residents in their fifties in the county who had been tested, meaning that four percent of those tested have the coronavirus. Through July 25, there have been 167 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 11 deaths from the coronavirus in Cass County.

Illinois gathers all of its COVID-19 data from across the state electronically. The reported cases and deaths will fluctuate as additional info is gathered. Chicago was home to one of the first known cases of COVID-19 in the US, as well as it's transmission.
