14 Hancock County residents in their seventies test positive for COVID-19

As of September 19, there have been 14 Hancock County residents in their seventies who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

There have been 497 residents in their seventies in the county who had been tested, meaning that two percent of those tested have the coronavirus. Through September 19, there have been 183 confirmed COVID-19 cases and three deaths from the coronavirus in Hancock County.

Illinois gathers all of its COVID-19 data from across the state electronically. The reported cases and deaths will fluctuate as additional info is gathered. Chicago was home to one of the first known cases of COVID-19 in the US, as well as it's transmission.
