North Pike Fire Protection District responded to eight calls in 2018 - 100 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in North Pike included eight fires - five structure fires and three other fires.

In all, the department saw $40,000 in fire loss - or about $5,000 per fire.

The North Pike Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $49,288 in 2018.
